Founded in 1904, in the picturesque village of Hölstein in the North-west of Switzerland, Oris is one of a small handful of Swiss watch brands that makes only mechanical watches. Still based in the same building in which they began, which has expanded to accommodate the growing company, Oris is an independent company, which means its values are in safe hands. Oris began making pilot's watches in the 1910s at the dawn of aviation and has pioneered in the field ever since. The Big Crown, one of Oris’ signature designs, was first introduced in 1938, and continues to inspire the collection today.

Powered by a new hand-wound calibre, Oris' tenth in-house movement in 10 years. Calibre 473 has a five-day power reserve with an indicator on the reverse, it’s highly anti-magnetic, and it comes with a 10-year warranty and 10-year recommended service intervals.
