Description

The Spur has been the Trademark of Edwin Blyde & Co. Ltd for some 130 years when one of the Blyde family joined the Company straight from a Cavalry Division of the British Army. The company's history can be traced back as far as the 18th century.

Derived from the Scottish Gaelic word "cuach" (meaning "cup"), the quaich is still given as a cup of friendship today.

Originally hand-crafted in wood, then later in a variety of metals, the form has remained unchanged in centuries.

An ideal gift for weddings, christenings or a perfect reminder of Scotland for those who are leaving: this heavyweight pewter quaich is a perfect example of the traditional, simple form which will sit well in any modern surrounding.
