The ancient Greeks used malachite to create amulets to protect children and much like turquoise, it was said to grant its wearer the ability to foretell impending disaster. If kept with money, malachite was believed to increase wealth, and ancient traders often wore the stone whilst making deals in the belief it would bring them a more favourable result.

A delicate pair of drop earrings, created in high-polished 9ct yellow gold and malachite. A circular motif swings freely and is split into two halves: the upper section is delicate and open, whilst the lower element is set with malachite.
