18ct White Gold 2.64ct Diamond Claw Set Line Tennis Bracelet

The style of tennis bracelets had been around for decades before they became known as such, but Chris Evert took the bracelet to a new level of popularity.

Evert always wore a diamond bracelet on the tennis court and journalists therefore often referred to her jewellery as a "tennis bracelet". The piece became world-famous during a match against Wendy Turnbull in 1987. She saw that the bracelet was no longer on her wrist, so asked for the match to be stopped immediately, until the precious bracelet was found. This incident took an already popular name and style and thrust the iconic pairing into the spotlight.
