Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the bezel and the case for a shock-resistant structure with a full-metal exterior. High-density mounting technology keeps this watch just as slim and compact as other GMW-B5000 designs.

The solid screw-lock case back, finished with DLC coating, delivers even greater abrasion resistance. Dimpling applied to metal band pieces reproduces the look of the resin band of the very first G-SHOCK, while the film solar panel and STN-LCD digital display provide exceptional visibility and an easier read.
