It was carried for protection by warriors going into battle and those who wanted to ward off diseases. Some ancient healers even placed garnets in wounds, praising its healing powers. They are the birthstone for January but their colour is autumnal - making them ideal to wear all year round.

The warm yellow of the gold claws beautifully complements the earthy tones of the garnet held within, which is flanked by two round brilliant cut diamonds.
