Coloured Stone Pendants

According to Arabic legend, opals fell from the sky in bolts of lightning. Meanwhile, Australian aborigines believed that the Creator came to Earth on a rainbow, leaving these colourful stones where his feet touched the ground. Often worn to bring good luck, opal has been a continual favourite down the years.

This pendant has an undeniable simplicity and elegance to it. Displayed on a 9ct yellow gold bale, this delicate rubover setting frames the stone beautifully and allows the pendant to be all about the opal: no distractions.

Suspended from an 18" curb chain necklet, which has a shortening station at 16", to allow for adjustment as the neckline (or one's modesty!) dictates.
