Peridot, the birthstone for August, is seen as a gem of good health, healing and compassion.

Ancient Egyptians called peridot the “gem of the sun”, believing it protected its wearer from terrors of the night: Cleopatra loved it for its beauty also. Whilst ancient Hawaiian folklore told stories of the gems being tears from the goddess of elements, Pele.

These peridot and diamond stud earrings offer a new take on a classic, timeless look.

The round cut peridot is set within a 9ct white gold four claw setting and then framed within a surround of 9 illusion set round brilliant cut diamonds.
