Coloured Stone Rings

Emerald has been the standard for green coloured stones for millennia, having been mined for over 4000 years.

Legend also states that emerald was one of the four precious stones given by God to King Solomon. These four stones were said to have endowed the king with power over all creation. They were considered a symbol of eternal youth by the ancient Egyptians who liked to be buried with them!

Enjoying its peak popularity during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, the quatrefoil - four leaf clover - design has endured for millennia. Representing many things to many different people (Christians often see it as representing the four Gospel writers or as representing the cross, Ancient Mayans saw it as representing the underworld) it is a symbol of both luxury and good luck to many.

Four oval cut emeralds surround a central square cut emerald, all framed within a halo of dazzling diamonds, with further diamonds adorning the shoulders. This stunning design never demands attention but does not surrender it once it has been gazed upon!
