TAG Heuer Grand Carrera
TAG Heuer Grand Carrera is a premium Avant-Garde new series inspired
by the motor racing heritage and featuring unprecedented
sophistication, performance and precision.
In 1964, a visionary young Swiss watchmaker, Jack Heuer,
great-grandson of Edouard Heuer who founded the
company bearing his name in 1860, launched the first Heuer Carrera in
tribute to the “Carrera
Panamericana Mexico Road Race”, thereby setting the seal on the TAG
Heuer brand’s
legendary association with the world of racing
circuits Some 43 years later, Heuer again assaulted
the luxury sports watch segment with the debut
of its Grand Carrera series. The sharp-looking collection
includes several new models that honour the original
1964 Carrera design while taking it to new heights
with a new breakthrough called the TAG Heuer
Calibre RS movement that marks a new way to display
time. The indicators of this exclusive, GT engine-inspired rotating system
enable wearers to read small seconds, a second time zone or chronograph
time effortlessly, providing them with at-a-glance access to precision
timing.
All models host a "Côtes de Genève" screw and
polished bevelled edges complimented by curved,
faceted horns on both case sides, a curved, sapphire
crystal with double anti-reflective treatment
and a double sapphire crystal caseback. The dials feature a hand-applied
TAG Heuer logo and curved faceted markers. Oversized screw-in crowns
and push-button clasps complete the sophisticated look of the pieces,
which are also water resistant to 100 meters.
The series is certified with the Côntrole Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres
(COSC) automatic movement and is only available
through a select few exclusive agents.
