Leo Wittwer Jewellery
Creating opulent jewellery which looks elegant and understated, the
designers at the firm of Leo Wittwer are masters of the art of using
precious stones and pearls to achieve precisely this effect. At the same
time, this Pforzheim-based enterprise has repeatedly proven itself to
be a trendsetter. Lavish, but never overdone: the bright gleam of white
gold competes with the sparkle of pavé-set diamonds; the lustre
of dusky Tahitian pearls contrasts with the incandescence of diamonds;
a large solitaire rests in splendid isolation upon the shimmering, diamond-studded
band of a ring. These are a few of the classical elements to be found
in Leo Wittwer Collection, but one can also discover many innovations
embodied in pieces jewellery lovingly crafted by this traditional manufacturer.
This business has been located in Pforzheim, Germany’s gemstone
Mecca, since it’s inception in 1920 by it’s founder Leo Wittwer.
Reiner Maier took the reins in the 1980s and
began establishing the typical attributes which continue to characterize
the company’s collection
today: independent designs and the highest standards of quality, both
in materials and craftsmanship.
“Wearing our jewellery should be a constant source of pleasure”,
Frank Maier explains. Frank, like his father Reiner, plays an active & integral
role in leading the management team. Both men
share the philosophy that the highest priority must be placed on fulfilling
their client’s wishes. “Jewellery
shouldn’t be locked away in a safe; it ought to be flexible enough
to suit every occasion. It’s form, it’s tactility and it’s
top quality craftsmanship should create it’s appeal.
And of course, the price ought to be reasonable”.
